We are excited to continue sharing our students’ perspectives on their Global Journeys this year. Today, we will be sharing a student perspective on Journeys 2021 #JourneysFashionCapitals21

Jenny Hu ’24 shared her perspective on her Journeys section as well as some images of the experience!

“After watching the film ” The True Cost”, it really makes me rethink about whether or not buying fast fashion clothing. We, as American, living in a first world country, having this kind of privilege, we are making profit from these poor workers who are risking their lives to make clothes for us with mini wages of $2 per day, I think it is not ethical to let this situation keep going.”

Thank you, Jenny, for your reflection on our use of fast fashion. We’re glad the film helped you to think about your global impact!

For Journeys Fashion Capitals: Image and Industry, we had the pleasure to work with Customized Educational Programs Abroad and Education Travel Adventures.
